How to change the status of a position or pool

If you’re a Hiring Manager or Admin, you can activate a position or change its status in the positions list or position view.

  1. Click Positions/Pools in the left sidebar or open the position.

  2. Click the status dropdown (colored dot) next to the correct position or pool.

  3. Choose the correct status from the list.

If you’re activating a position that requires approval, you’ll need to complete the approval request. Until the position has been fully approved, its status will show a yellow dot.

Note: Changing a position’s status to Archived will not delete it, but will hide it from view. To find archived positions, use the Include Archived filter option in the Positions list.

💡Tip: Save time with bulk actions!

You can change the status of multiple positions at once from the positions list. Just click the checkbox next to each position and click Change State at the top of the screen.

How to close a position

If you’re a Hiring Manager or Admin, you can close a position from the positions list or position view.

To close a position:

  1. Click Positions/Pools in the left sidebar or open the position.

  2. Click the status dropdown (colored dot) next to the correct position or pool.

  3. Choose Closed.

  4. Choose whether to assign a reason for closing the position or auto-disqualify candidates, if applicable.

Notes:

  • If your admin has enabled Reasons for Closing a Position, you can choose a reason from a list of options and opt to disqualify all the candidates who weren’t hired for the position.

  • If your admin has enabled Auto-Disqualify Candidates, you’ll have the option to disqualify all the candidates who weren’t hired for the position.

How to delete a position or pool

If you’re an Admin, you can permanently delete a position or candidate pool in the positions list or position view.

Deleting a position or pool removes all references to the position and can’t be reversed.

Once deleted, position or pool data will no longer be reflected in reports, and candidates associated with the position or pool will be removed from Breezy. If you’d like to keep any candidate info, move candidates to a different position or pool before deleting the original.

To delete a position or pool:

  1. Click Positions/Pools in the left sidebar or open the position.

  2. Click the status dropdown (colored dot) next to the correct position or pool.

  3. Click Delete Position or Delete Pool.

  4. Click Yes please to confirm.

❗️Important Note: Deleting is permanent

Deleted positions and pools can’t be recovered. If you think you might need to access a position or a pool again, try archiving it instead.
