If you’re an admin, you can block specific people from applying for your positions or communicating with your team via Breezy.
When you block a candidate’s email address:
The candidate can’t apply to any of your positions with that email address.
The candidate can’t email your team via email addresses connected to Breezy.
Your team can’t send messages to the candidate from Breezy.
How to enable candidate blocking
Admins can manage candidate blocking in their company settings.
Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.
Click Company Settings.
Click General in the left sidebar.
Click Candidate Data near the top of the screen.
Find Block Candidate and click the toggle to enable.
Click Save Changes.
How to block candidates
If you’re an admin, you can block candidates from the candidate’s profile, a position’s pipeline or candidate list, or from your company settings
From a candidate’s profile
Open the candidate’s profile.
Click the More icon (three dots) near the top-right corner of the window.
Click Block.
Choose a reason from the dropdown.
Click Block This Candidate.
From a position’s pipeline
Find the correct candidate’s card on the pipeline.
Click the down arrow for more options.
Click Block.
Choose a reason from the dropdown.
Click Block This Candidate.
From the candidates list
Open the candidates list for a position.
Click the checkbox next to the correct candidate(s).
Click the More dropdown near the top of the window and select Block Candidates.
Choose a reason from the dropdown.
Click Block This Candidate.
From company settings
Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.
Click Company Settings.
Click General in the left sidebar.
Click Candidate Data near the top of the screen.
Find Block Candidate
Enter the candidate’s email address and click + Email. The email will be added to the list below.
Select a reason from the Reason dropdown next to the email on the list.
Click Save Changes.
Once a candidate is blocked, they won’t be able to apply to positions using the blocked email address. A message will be shown on their profile to let your team know they have been blocked, including who blocked them, the date, and the reason. If your team tries to send a message from the candidate’s profile, they’ll be alerted that the candidate has been blocked and their message will not be sent.
How to unblock a candidate
Admins can unblock candidates in their company settings.
Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.
Click Company Settings.
Click General in the left sidebar.
Click Candidate Data near the top of the screen.
Find Block Candidate
Find the correct email address on the list.
Click the delete icon (trash can) next to the reason.
Click Save Changes.
Once a candidate has been unblocked, they’ll be able to apply to open positions and communicate with your team normally.
