You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Often, that first impression comes from your company’s career portal. With Breezy, you can build a clean, modern careers page in just a few minutes.

The best part? No code or designer required!

Breezy’s portal template is mobile-optimized and lets you customize colors, images, photo galleries, perks, testimonials, and more.

If you need some inspiration, check out this example portal for the ACME company or our blog post, How to Optimize Your Career Page in 3 Simple Steps.

💡 Tip: Customize with CSS and JavaScript

You don't need to code to make a gorgeous career portal. But if you want to add a third-party tracking code or some CSS to make your page just perfect, you can add it in your career portal settings.

How to customize your career portal

If you’re a company admin, you can customize your career site in your company settings.

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Company Settings.

  3. Click Career Site in the left sidebar.

  4. Choose the correct section from the top of the screen.

  5. Make changes as needed and click Save Changes.

To view your career site, click View Career Site in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Portal Settings

You’ll see each section of the portal settings across the top of the screen. You can skip directly to a specific section any time to make changes.

General

In the General section, you can add info about your company and customize basic settings, including:

  • Company Name

  • Portal URL

  • Logo*

  • Layout**

  • Company website

  • Apply with LinkedIn and Indeed options

  • Favicon

  • Button & link colors

  • Portal language

*The logo you upload will be displayed on a white background, so try to choose an image with color for contrast. Breezy will use your logo to generate a complementary color palette, which you can customize later if you like.

**Layout options are a legacy feature. If you have created a career site with Breezy’s “Simple” layout, you’ll see different options. Learn More

You can drag and drop the content sections in the Display box to rearrange them, or move them to the Stored box to hide the sections you don’t need.

Hero

The hero is top section of the careers page where you can add a heading and intro. You can also set the background color, or add your own background image and adjust a color overlay to improve readability. Just upload the perfect picture (we recommend an image size of 1080 x 608), then use the slider to adjust the intensity of the color overlay.

Description

Use the Description section to include amore detailed description of your company. You can use standard formatting tools and include links and images.

Positions

This is where you’ll showcase open positions for your company. You can decide how to display the list of openings and whether to group jobs by location or department, based on the details in each position’s settings.

Images

Photo galleries are great for showing off your team and giving candidates a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to work with your company.

Just upload photos for your gallery—interesting office features, events, office pets, and happy employees are always nice! The gallery layout changes based on the number of photos that you upload. You'll need to add at least 3 (we recommend 8 or more).

Perks & Benefits

Have unique, fun, or valuable perks you want to highlight? You can choose from (or customize) ready-made tiles or start from scratch with a new icon and description.

Up to 6 perks are shown at a time. If you add more, we'll randomize the 6 that are displayed each time the page loads.

Testimonials

Do your employees have great things to say about working with you? Spread the word! 📣

Just upload a photo, enter an employee’s name, title, and quote, and click +Add Testimonial.

Three testimonials are shown at a time. If you add more, we'll randomize the 3 that are displayed each time the page loads.

Employees

In the Employees section, you can show candidates who’s already a part of your team.

Just upload a photo, enter an employee’s name and title and click +Add Employee. You can also customise the section heading and subheading.

Share

The default portal settings do a pretty good job of showcasing your openings when you share them on social media. But in the Share section, you can customize the text and images that are used on social posts.

CSS/JS

Need a little bit more personalization? Or maybe a third-party analytics tracking code?

No problem. You can add custom CSS and JavaScript to your career portal.

Employee Portal

Your Employee Portal is where current employees can refer candidates for open positions or apply to positions themselves. It takes its styling and options from your career site's settings, but doesn’t include the Employees, Media, Perks & Benefits, Testimonials, and Links sections.

You can:

  • Copy the Employee Portal URL to share with employees

  • Restrict portal access to certain email domains

  • Customize the form employees use to submit referrals

  • Customize the heading, subheading, and description for the employee portal
