The source on a candidate’s profile shows the origin of their application. When a candidate applies through a job board, your careers page, or your employee portal, a corresponding source tag is automatically added to their profile. If a team member adds them manually or via import, that team member’s name will show as the source.
Hiring managers can manually add or change the source on a candidate’s profile, and admins can create and delete source tags in the Breezy Data Manager.

How to add or change the source on a candidate’s profile
Hiring Managers can add a source tag to a candidate’s profile.
Open the candidate’s profile.
Find the source icon (flag) in the Details section on the right-hand side of the window.
Click to the right of the icon and type the name of the source, or scroll to find it on the list of options.
Click the correct source in the list.
Creating a new source
If enabled for your account, Hiring Managers can create new sources on the fly. If the source you need isn’t already on the list, just type a name for it and press Enter. The tag will be saved company-wide and can be used by any Hiring Manager.
Note: There’s a limit of 250 sources for your entire Breezy account. If your lists exceed the limit, you’ll need to ask an admin to delete some sources before you can create a new one.
How to remove a source from a candidate’s profile
Hiring Managers can remove a source tag from a candidate’s profile.
Open the candidate’s profile.
Find the source in the Details section on the right-hand side of the window.
Highlight the name of the source and press Delete.
How to find candidates using source tags
You can filter by candidate source, to quickly find a list of candidates who came from the same place (or person).
To filter by source:
Click Candidates in the left sidebar or open the Candidates view of any position.
If needed, click the filter icon (funnel) near the top-left corner of the window to display Filtering Options.
Click the checkbox to select the Candidate Source filtering option.
Click the Select Option dropdown and choose the correct source.
Click Apply Filter.
The list of candidates will be refined, to only show candidates who have the source you selected.
How to create and delete source tags
If enabled, you can create a new source on the fly from a candidate’s profile or with a custom source code added to a position’s unique URL. But if you’d like to set up sources proactively, or delete existing sources, you can use the Data Manager in your Recruiting Preferences (you’ll need Admin permissions).
