When you create a position in Breezy, you’ll use a pipeline to track candidates through the hiring process.

We call each step in the process a “stage”. Each stage is shown as a column in the pipeline. When you move candidates through the stages, your team can easily see where they are in the hiring process.

If you’re on a paid plan, you can also customize the stages on your pipeline and set up stage actions, to automatically trigger certain functions when a candidate is moved to that stage.

Default pipeline stages

The following stages are part of the default pipeline, which is available on all Breezy plans.

If you see different stages or pipelines, chances are they’ve already been customized by an admin on your account!

Applied

Candidates who apply to your job postings are added here automatically.

Feedback

Move candidates here when you’re ready for the hiring team to add their thoughts and feedback.

Interviewing

Track candidates here while they’re in the interview process.

Made Offer

Use this stage when you send an offer to a candidate.

Disqualified

Move candidates here if you won’t be advancing them through the hiring process.

Hired

Move candidates here after they’ve accepted your offer and are ready for onboarding.

Custom pipeline stages

If you’re on any paid Breezy plan, you can add stage actions and customize the stages in your default pipeline. If you’re on a Growth, Business, or Pro plan, you can also create and customize multiple pipelines.

Admin permission is required to edit pipeline settings.

Admins can:

Stage types

When you customize a pipeline, you can select from the following stage types. The stage types you choose will determine which stage actions are available.

Applied

For candidates who apply directly to your position, or are referred by employees or external recruiters when there is no specific stage set with those types. The Applied stage is included in every pipeline and can’t be removed.

Feedback

For candidates whom the hiring manager is awaiting the hiring team’s input on.

Interview

For candidates who are currently interviewing. Candidates moved to this stage type are counted for the Overview report.

Phone Screen

For candidates who are currently being screened via phone, typically prior to an interview.

Make Offer

For candidates that are being sent offers.

Disqualified

Candidates that are disqualified or dispositioned. Candidates moved to this stage type are counted for the Overview report, and the Dispositions report, if enabled.

Hired

Candidates who have accepted an offer and been hired. Candidates moved to this stage type are counted for the Overview report and can be moved to an HRIS with certain integrations.

Sourced

For candidates that are manually added by your team. Candidates moved to this stage type are counted for the Overview report.

Referrals

For candidates that are referred by employees or submitted via the Employee Portal. Candidates moved to this stage type are counted for the Overview report.

Recruited

For candidates that are submitted by External Recruiters. Candidates moved to this stage type are counted for the Overview report.

Other

A general stage type that can be customized as needed.

Important Note: Use caution when making changes to an existing pipeline. If you delete a stage in a pipeline that has candidates in it, those candidates will be moved to a temporary stage called "Missing Stage". You'll need to then manually move those candidates into the appropriate stage.
